Overview

Lexam Explorations Inc. is a Toronto, Canada-based oil and gas exploration company. Lexam's shares are publicly traded on the TSX Venture Exchange. The company has a very promising U.S. oil & gas project on which much of the company's current effort is focused. Located in a frontier basin in southern Colorado, Lexam is currently developing a deep natural gas prospect that has been identified and mapped on the property.

Lexam's oil & gas project is situated on 100,000 acres of privately owned land that covers a large portion of a newly discovered Cretaceous sub-basin in the Rocky Mountains. Cretaceous basins are prolific producers of oil and gas in much of the Rocky Mountain region and are the focus of much of the recent natural gas exploration in the western United States. The highest priority exploration target is the 11,500-acre Crestone Prospect, a large anticlinal structure that has been mapped with seismic and gravity data.
